Bent OEM rims
How easy it is to bend the OEM bmw rims? I took my car for a tire change today and learned all 4 is bent from the inner side wtf??? After changing my springs i let it settle for 2 weeks without alignment, could it be the reason? Unless the guys at the tire shop damaged them while swapping tires..

as far as i kno, it's pretty hard to bend the OEM rims.. i have one slightly bent rim on my front passenger side from SLAMMING into an unseen curb that stuck out from under a snowbank at a 45 degree angle.. the rear passenger wheel hit the same curb and it came out unscathed.. the aforementioned bent rim doesn't even reveal it's imbalance, no vibrations or noises even at high speeds..

I've hit some NASTY stuff that's jarred my arm pretty good and my rims have no bends that I know of. I was actually thinking the other day that these must be the most strong rims I've ever had.

It really depends on which oem rim you are having. Some style are known to be very weak such as type 44, 68, 92...etc.

Letting your car drive 2 weeks without alignment will not bend your rims. You're probably referring to the extra wear on your tires though as a result. I'd say you must have hit some potholes or curbs to bend them on the lip. TIRE AND RIM WARRANTY... |
