Tyres, tyres, tyres
Almost ready for new tyres now - what's the common thinking for replacement rubber?
Stick with the Cups or change to PS2s? Won't be doing any track stuff so tempted by the extra all weather ability of the PS2s? Has anyone already switched to the PS2s? Any improvement (particularly in wet?) |

Changed from cups to PS2s a few months ago. Much better in the wet, but not as good in the dry.
Cups will only last approx 6K miles whereas PS2s should last around 10-12K miles easily. Quote:

I have the PS2 fitted to my E92, the rears last around 8000 miles, the fronts usually need replacing at 12000. But it all depends on number of track days you take. Hope that helps. Klaus |

TBH its a load of nonsense mate. The Dunlops are just as good as the Michelins and Conti's. In fact they are 100 times better than the contis! I've ran them for 6 years on my 2 E46 M3's and now on my E61 535d and Z4. never had a puncture let alone a blow out. Regards, Neil.

Appreciate continued input!
Think I'm going to wait a couple more weeks and go for the PS2's. My dealer is quoting £300 EACH TYRE incl fitting. Doesn't sound too bad. T'internet search suggests best price of £270 for tyre Do you think I can put the squeeze on for all 4 at the same time? Any one done better? |
