Need help identifying cable near battery

I took my car in for service, and the tech disconnected my amp from the battery. I also noticed that there is a pair of red and blue cables, but I have no clue where it goes. I don't think that it has anything to do with the amp. The cable is shown in the bottom right area of the image. THIS IMAGE IS NOT FROM MY CAR. I TOOK THIS PIC FROM ANOTHER THREAD BECAUSE IT SHOWED THE CABLE THAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.

Nevermind. I checked another 3 series, and his cable was not connected to anything either. Maybe it's used for service purposes.
