BMW Servotronic steering
Has anyone any comments or thoughts on Servotronic steering applicable to say the 320D M-sport. I have one on order with it and I'm just wondering if that was a bit of a mistake. Does it have any undue effect on the steering other than for parking?

Until March this year, all the cars had servotronic steering but it was deleted from the standard fitments in order to save money, - for BMW.
It is a good thing to have. |

Many thanks for the re-assurance that Servotronic steering is a good thing to have. Other than for parking I am just hoping it wont change the superb quality of the 320D m-sport I road tested!
I like your motor, very nice, inside & out. Mine will be very similar: le mans blue, beige leathers but red brown eucalyptus. The latter raised an eyebrow at the dealers who thought it unusual with an m-sport. But each to his own! Why be the same as everyone else? Cheers! |

Thanks. Red brown wasn't available at the time I bought my car otherwise I would have had it!
Servotronic only came with electric power steering and it's effect is subtle but good. Not to be confused with "active steering" which is a lot more expensive and has very mixed views. The 3er is renowned for it's steering and servotronic plays a noticeable part in that reputation. |
