Should I make the switch? 350z to 335.. Help me decide

( MODS if this is the wrong section, please feel free to move it else where )

Hey fellas!

Ive been reading this forum for quiet some time now! Doing some research, searching what my best options are. Even though I know somethings about the 335, I gotta learn more.. Finally got a chance to join today.

Well first of all I have a supercharged 350z. Iam running 400rwhp 370rwtq.

Iam thinking of making the switch to an 07-08 335 i or xi . Iam still not 100% as I do love the Z and the power. I have put a lot of work into it.

I always loved the 335 and the power!.. but ive got over 80K miles on the Z and like i said i love the car but i guess i just need something different you know. but i do not want to regret making the switch. Its a very hard decision.

another thing why the 335xi is a plus is because of the snow. The Z is terrible in the snow. Even tho I dont mind it bc i dont drive it when it snows ever.. but still the Xi is a plus there.

what do you guys think? will the 335 disappoint me ??

How do these cars hold as far as stock block power?

I still gotta do some more research but... what do you guys think? power wise..

-how much would it be to get me to where iam in the Z? 400+ whp? ( i know 400whp in the 335 twin turbo would be a lotttt of fun! )
-any sort of mod list? what I need etc?

--- I have been reading that with Down pipes, full exhaust , intake and JB3.. the car hauls ass!!! correct me if im wrong plz!

I know this is an bmw forum and im guessing everyone will say get an bmw lol.. but just be honest, help me out!

thanks boys!

im not fully modded(mods in signature)and my335's numbers are pretty close to what your 350 is putting out. Im just shy of hitting 400whp(im @396whp/389tq)..so with full bolt-ons youll get to 400+ no problem

do you want 400 whp with a touch of class?...bc 400 hp in a bimmer is a whole different adrenaline rush bc of how they take corners and twisties...

I would love to actually have a luxury interior with 400 whp .. Ive never gotten a ride in a 400whp bimmer so I wouldnt know.

How is the reliability at those power levels?

Thanks for the comments guys I appreciate it

+++++1. Could't aggree more. The new Z370 is beatiful car and much faster than 335 (stock to stock) and handles better and looks better. Z370 is a true performance car while 335 is a luxury sports car. If performance is your priorty than Z370 is the rigth one. But if you don't mind sacrifising on performance little bit to get more lux car, then 335 is the rigth choice.

Good luck

welll if you are driving a lot of miles I don't think 335 it's the appropiate car for you since you gonna spend a lot of $$$$$ after your warranty is over

It is not only 0-60 or qurter mile although 370 is fater than 335 according to the each magazine I read. But the real difference is that 370 handles better as a true performance car. But u loose the rear seats if u care

yah but what ur not telling him is that for under a grand for a tune he'll be able to blow the doors off a 370z with exhaust, intake, pulleys and 3 people in his car sipping on starbucks coffee.

edit: did i mention how nice the leather seats are on the sports package and how well they hug you.
