2009 idrive/Nav

Just wondered if anyone has it and if you can offer help, I can't get the screen to switch to night mode, I've ticked the check box, but it stay in day mode, is it ambient light sensitive?

Here is a thread on one being stuck in night mode - might be worth going through the same settings on yours to see if it helps
