Drivers Door De-Lock Fitted

Next mod for the e92 was to De-Lock the drivers door

This was another easy mod

Part Number: 51 21 7 162 434

Cost: £11 + a beer token for paint

Fitting: 5 mins

How will you get in the car if the battery goes flat or the battery in the key fob goes flat?

If car battery dies open boot with key
If keyfob dies try the spare if that fails call BMW assit and get them to unlock
Or an other way that would take around 5 mins that i wont post on forum

Nice mod but i cant help thinking how easy this is to break into an E90. One screw holds on that lock assembly - one simple heavy handed twist and it will break off exposing the wires. You dont have to be a genius to figure out how to get the doors unlocked from there !

Should this thread be moved somewhere more 'private' ?

A couple of years ago Coronation Street showed someone stealing a BMW Z3. BMW complained and Corrie had to put out an apology stating that BMW's could not be stolen in the way indicated because the immobiliser was too difficult to defeat.

That's why the robbers kick peoples doors in to nick their car keys these days.

There is no wires for opening door,thats the light,i will remove the pic to give the scallies less chance lol
