09 LCI HPFP failure @ 2000 miles & 1 month of ownership

geezz...the title says it all....oil temp went higher than 250, total limp mode (good thing I was able to drive but not much than 60 mph), SEL on,

Took it to the dealer, HPFP it is, took them 3 hours to replace but with no guarantees that it won't happen again...

Oh well...I guess I just have to wait...

That is about how long my 2008 made it before it needed a pump - been good since though!

you know that is what is scarring me about the TT motors. Thus far, my E46 been so reliable; no issues what-so-ever. I hate to trade it, and accumulate those kind of failures.

Scary! Every time I hear one of these horror stories of cars newer than mine having HPFP failure, I get a little paranoid about my car.

This scares me.

Good thing the HPFP warranty is good till 100,000 miles.

I just hate having to take it to the dealer.

After 3 years, I would have expected some steps towards improvement. Do they just need to use up all the stockpiled faulty HPFP?

Amazing that they're still failing. Good luck with your replacement pump. Mine didn't help for long.

Phuck.....that pretty much means bmw hasn't done jack shiet to fix these issues even till this day. Chances are my 09 msport will have the same pump yours did. Mine is a early July build.
