335d performance stats?

Are there any figures anywhere for a standard 335d (preferably Touring)? Can find 0-60 and vMax but nothing else.

Am I being daft? Probably!!

Nope - just 0-60 and top speed.

Not finding much when I search. I know it doesn't really matter but I'm a bloke and so have a deep seated need to know how fast my new motor is!

I've found 13.4 to 100mph for the Coupe - assume Touring is maybe 13.7ish?

Only thing I have found so far is this - resorted to searching in km/h! Also a few Youtube vids around.

G33 - stunning wheels on yours! What are they? Look a bit like M3 CSL rim but deeper.

This site compiles stats from all German mag tests. It's not fancy but it has good information

http://www.einszweidrei.de/

Edit: I just checked it, it only has stats for a e90 335d, anyway it's a good site to know about

335d, coupes and saloons have been timed 0-100mph anywhere from 13.3-13.7 in magazine testsa. I also think a touring also did a 13.7..

Which is pretty fast when you consider Focus ST is 0-100 in 16's, VXR astra 17's Audi S3 13.7, Magane R26 17's etc.

New RS focus is 14 ish.

CANT grumble at that.

I did quarter mile standard (two years ago) 13.9@101.5mph, suggesting a good 13.3 ish 0-100mph.

dxb - impressive! S3 in 13.7? That seems rather quick! Was it chipped?!

Of course diesels, even the very best, lose a bit off the line. My Astra was a 150bhp/235 lbs/ft diesel and got to 60 in 8.6. The mk3 GTi 16v I had ages ago did it in very slightly less yet felt slower (a lot slower) in 99% of situations. In fact the Astra felt nearly as quick in most situations than the Golf R32 I had (Astra had a lot less bhp but the same torque and weighed a fair bit less).

Anyway, it's definitely quick - saw a 50-70 time of 2.9s somewhere. A current RS6 does that in 2.8... impressive for the 335d!

The S3 is 4wd so gets a good start, the 335d then reels it in and passes it.

On a roll like a dual carraidgeway the 335d will pull on an S3.

Yes i do believe that S3 was ''tinkered with'' as it was a press car, most do 0-100 in the 14's.

4WD is definitely a help for launches - look at even relatively modest powered Jap rally reps for example. The Evo FQ360 I tested was very quick - but didn't feel quick as quick as it's 0-60 times suggest -3.9 seconds!!!
The Golf (R32) was 4WD too - certainly helped it launch quickly.

Not that racing/accelerating matters of course - us all being mature adults and everything...

As much as 4wd helps for launching it hinders once rolling (Higher % transmission loss) so a 335d will easily beat EVo's on a roll. I recently pulled hard on a EVO X FQ330.

Dave - weather is indeed hideous. Brightening up tomorrow apparently.
