Water leak
My E93 leaks water in when it rains or when i wash the car, I took it to BMW 2 months ago who said they put in new seals but again it has started to leak...
do any of you E93 owners have the same problem, the pic below with circle shows where it leaks, its right next to the join of the windows and its so annoying as it drips more then anything and it drips on my arm! this happens both driver and passenger side...I am hoping the water is not running somewhere else although i have checked the floor of boot, rear seats and front footwell but all dry any advise as i have given up with BMW they just are blind to what you explain to them

Hi, I had a massive issue regarding the leaking roof as you have just read on that link. however mine kept goin wrong again and again and eventually (thanks to posting on the forum) they took me more serious and have agreed to change the car. My leak was not at the same place your one is, mine was near the back. I think you should go to the dealer and demand they sort it out....go directly to the manager, as he/she should take you more serious. It may not be due to just the bad seals, maybe the allignment is messed up? But tell them to do it again, and if it persists then contact BMW customer service...they then phone the dealer - least then the dealer is aware you have made a complaint! Good luck!

I have had the leaky seals see this thresd for details http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=271138
Mine is now fixed (touch wood) but going in next week for a new roof liner. It is all about having the dealership knowledge to fix it. In summary seals have been redesigned and the way the seal adhesive is applied is critical, also sometimes the roof is adjusted when the seals should be changed, to fix it properly is a 3 to 4 day job due to the amount of water testing that has to be done both before and after seal change / adjustment. |

I have a 96 328ic convertible and when the back seat was removed to upgrade speakers there was 3+ inches of water under each of the back seats and the seat cushion was soaked! I cleaned it up and it was out in the rain again and the same thing--filled right back up. It's only when it rains, so I bought a cover but I can't figure out where the water is coming from--it seems like from the back of the rear seat or underneath the buckets under the seat cushion. Any suggestions? Seen this problem before?
