Business sat nav
I'm looking in to a November registered 325d se Saloon with Business Sat Nav - can anyone confirm if this is the one with HDD and USB in the glovebox or if it will be CD/DVD?
The dealer doesn't seem to be able to give me a definite answer and I'd really like to know. He says that the face lifted 3 series comes with the new I Drive controller, HDD, USB and new maps, whereas the old one is run from a CD in the boot (doesn't sound right to me) I can see from the pictures of my prospective car that there is one CD drive in the centre console, and that the I Drive controller is the new style one - with about 7 buttons around it, rather than the old one with just two. It would be great to get this cleared up! Also, can I plug my Ipod in anywhere if there is no 6UL option (USB) If I have the HDD Sat Nav, can I plug it in to the USB in the glovebox? Thanks! |

Sorry I have no answer but......
FFS your salesman needs some immediate training. Tell him to find out, now!! Rule 1 of sales - know your product!! It's been in the market for twelve months. |

As far as I am aware only the prof nav is HDD based, so no, don't think you will have USB socket, etc..
Even if you did, the glovebox socket is only for transferring music onto the 8GB left of HDD space. To use an ipod or similar to play music from, you need 6FL (USB interface) option. |
