While the new photos don't reveal any additional details, the matte black paint scheme is simply out of this world. Other styling tweaks include 15-spoke alloy wheels, a more pronounced rear spoiler, and a massive dual exhaust system.

As we have previously reported, the RS5 will come equipped with a powerful 4.2-liter V8 engine with at least 450hp (331kW). Boasting quattro AWD and a standard six-speed manual transmission (a seven-speed R Tronic gearbox will be optional), the RS5 is expected to accelerate from 0-100km/h in less than 5 seconds. Audi will likely limit the top speed to 250km/h (155mph), but aftermarket tuners will surely fix that.

Look for the 2010 Audi RS5 to be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

You're right! There's hope!! I think they're covering up the diffuser too. With flared fenders and a diffuser, I think this will look better than anything in it's price range.

Here, you can see how the line on the side seems to disappear on the front quarter panel and towards the rear. It's being covered up by some... covering, which is evidence that there will be flared out fenders. Also, there seems to be an opening of some sorts or just some badging behind the rear wheel that's being covered. The exhaust tips seem to be tucked behind a covering, which leads me to believe there will be a diffuser. The sideskirts also look like those from a Hamann E92.

if they figured out some way to offer this car in matte black, and have it be some new sort of matte clear coat so you didnt have to baby the paint, this car could look unreal...and I might try to save some pennies

Yeah really, it's not like it's really that expensive to do (but that won't stop them or anyone else from putting a high premium price on it).

nope, not feeling it, this matte black thing is being played out wayyyyy too far and ruining it for really expensive mattes.

It is a prototype car, chill. And really, how many matte colored cars are out on the road. I don't see many.

Something (like CSLs, Vorsteiner boots, etc) are played out only on the forums. I doubt you will run into something like that everyday

well down here in norcal i should say so, in 2 days i saw matte GTR, vette, Elise, LP640, C class Mercedes, and porsche
