Easiest thing to do is to buy a BMW E46 jack off ebay, works perfectly on E92 etc and can be had for anything up to £26, less if you are lucky.

Not seen anything like this on sale in the UK.

I looked at the ECS one but decided to get the one from Reverse Logic instead as i liked the "bullit" system and I also wanted to get some jack stand adapters. They are a bit more expensive, but oh well hopefully I'll never have to buy another jack support pad.

I just used my jack stand adapters today when I fixed my squeaky brakes and the car was nice and solid on the stands. I helps to have a nice big jack to lift the car at the rear lifting point.

It took about 3-4 weeks to arrive and I had to pay VAT ( +£8 customs charge) on the value. Shipping was really cheap $6, so I guess that explains the delivery time. So if you don't need them here and now then buy them in the US.

Thats what I'm after, the jack stand adapters as well, wonder if bmw sell such a thing.

I've got an E46 jack which I keep in the boot but I would prefer using my hydro jack and stands for changing pads, rotors etc. Just bought the E46 for emergencies.

Think I'll ask around but if I can't find anything I might order these. I'm surprised these are not readily available here though.

All these adaptors are well and good, but you can't get a trolley jack saddle under the E92 without them fitted, fitting them can only make matter worse IMO

True you need a jack with a low saddle height, but my £80 trolley jack from Cost-co does the job very nicely. It's pretty solid (22KGS) and feels like a proper workshop trolley jack without spending a minor furture.

If it's still too low or the car is lowered, then either drive up on a piece of wood or buy a small ramp like these. I think they are around £65-75 from the UK distributor.

I got a pair of these (2-piece version) to be able to jack the car up on the front lifting point. They are really nice and dead easy to drive up on. When you are on the ramp remove the lower part and lower the car back onto your axel stands. If you just need change the oil then pop it on the ramp and job done.

Thats what i bought, same one from Cost-co in blue too, bout £80. Very nice jack, very solid and light...and very low profile!

I just drive my car wheel up on a piece of wood to raise it enuf for the trolley jack. I then use a small rectangular wooden block that plugs into the jacking point - this stops the trolley damaging it.

Total cost = £0
