anyone got this fault with paintwork on back bumper M-Sport Saloon?

Whats the chances of BMW doing this under the paintwork warranty?? Car is 3 years and 11 month old...

I see no reason why this wouldnt be picked up by the paint warranty. its painted plastic.

Yes it is painted.

My 2 year old 1 series msport did this and it was replaced under warranty.

Swallow the pill and have it painted yourself [properly] to body colour.

That part is defo not painted on my car ????? It is just grey plastic.

That looks like a 3rd party has painted it silver or something

Standard is grey plastic - that has been sprayed since leaving the factory. If it is chipping then it wont be done under warranty.

+1. I prefer the colour coded rear bumper as per the SE put personal choice. That's defo been painted though and is not as it came out of the factory.

They are all painted.

I repeat this same thing happened on my 2 year old 1 series msport and the 3 series is the same.

They use cheap shit plastic and paint it to enhance the finish.

most of the plastics are painted, even the hard plastic trim inside the car is painted.

My 2006 E90 330i M sport had a dark grey plastic rear bumper, sure as hell looked nothing like the one in the pic. Needed that petroleum based 'bumper shine' stuff to make it look presentable after a while.

plus i have has my bumper hit today in a asda carpark only on the side ad no lookers, pisses me right off,cant be assed to start a thead off or shall i put pics on, i think it been sprayed looks too sliver
