Glass panel on my e91 not opening

Hi
i have a 2006 e91, i had a few problems with central locking recently, read up on the forum & found a fuse was to blame.
Changed fuse no 57, everything works apart from the glass panel. all 4 doors unlock & lock, rear bootlid locks & unlocks, but the glass panel in the Tailgate/boot lid refuses to open, when you Press the button, no sound nothing. Also the instrument cluster indicates that the Tailgate/ lid is open. Any ideas what is causing this problem.

If it thinks the main tailgate is open this may stop the glass release from operating.

Try cleaning up the electrical contacts on the boot cill under the little push flap.
