Installing Dension 500 with Bluetooth in 2005 320d SE and other questions
I've had installed a Dension 500 kit and Dension Bluetooth into my 320d, none of it is working as yet and I just wanted to know what is the cheapest way of getting my car coded up? Apparently I need the car to be coded for CDC and Bluetooth to bring it online?
Is there any home coding software like they have in the states? bmwtechinfo.com? I have the ODB serial port gadget and carsoft already but it's version 6.5 and doesn't play nice with my E90. Does anyone know if my car should have the mic built in also as apparently the Dension unit pretends to be a genuine BMW unit and will of course need this to work. Also BMW are unwilling to update the software on my car (sometimes if I start the car the car fails to turn over and sounds very much like it has a flat battery, after this the CCC screen displays funny colours?) I'm assuming this is a software issue but they won't update the software unless I pay for it? The car is still under warranty as it was purchased approved used and also has a maintenance pack until mid next year. If you can shed any light on the above I would really appreciate it. Regards, Jim. |

Phone up BMW customer services about the software, if the dealer wont do the software put it into them and let them find the fault (all covered by the BMW warranty) then if it is a softwarre issue they will have to fix it under warranty, if it aint a software problem they will also fix it.
