can you fit 330d exhaust on 318d

Hi
does anyone know if you can fit a 330d exhaust onto a 318d. I have the whole exhaust from a 330d. I know the 318d/320d exhaust is in 2 sections, where as the 330d exhaust is just 1 long piece. So if i cut the 330d exhaust to the same size would this just clamp on??? Any thoughts....

It'd be a nightmare! Pipe bore sizes will be wildly different and the actual shape/fit up to the engine will be very different indeed.

It would be easier and much "cooler" to just buy a 330d.

He is trying to look "cool" by making his 318d look like a 330d...

It's not cool or clever.

Hi qwe178.

I wouldn’t bother as exhausts are usually developed and tuned for a specific engine.

Your 20lt engine requirements would be different to a 30lt and in fitting the wrong exhaust you would probably mess up your cars performance / economy.

Far better to sell the 330d exhaust and get one model specific. The one from mvsport looks ideal.

When they do something for the 325d that’s where I will be going.

Hi
