So the increase was +19 BHP,
I thought that they produced 258BHP as standard, appreciate that thats the factory figure but most cars you have mentioned always produce pretty much what the factory states. Why was this car showing a low output? |

We just dynoed it before and after, we gave no real attention to what the figures were. Not all BMW's make their quoted figures. The important thing here is the gain before and after. |

Really? I always thought there was little point with the 330i 258bhp, even spoke to DMS a few days ago and was told that most ppl probably wouldnt even notice it i.e. dont bother.

DMS are probably basing this on some of the previous engines on which there was little difference. I don't blame them for taking this attitude.
These newer engines are different and there are healthy gains. +19hp is most definately going to be felt. The difference made to the 320i's on the road is stunning. |

Can't believe there isn't a queue a mile long of 320i owners....if I still had mine I would have been knocking on your door in 5 minutes, providing it didnt break down on the way to you!!!

320i's feel lethargic and run out of puff over 4000rpm. After our remap they feel alot fuller and are far more willing to rev over 4000rpm. I am sure 320i owners will jump at that!

I have a 170bhp 320i ED and it is tempting. I'm just paranoid about future warranty issues for what may be a marginal gain.
