cleaned up the M3's engine bay

been doin a ton of work on the car in the past 2 weeks. New larger gt35r turbo is on and ready to rock!!!

its getting picked up tomorrow on a flatbed and headed off for some custom welding.

anywho, took a little time to clean up some wiring and degreased the whole engine bay. Main point was to get rid of all lot of metal shavings from grinding down the tranny bellhousing to clearance the new turbo.

A few shots. Used Simple Green HD in 1:2 concentration, a soft bristle brush and plenty of water. No dressing of any sort on the plastics in these shots.

A few shots of the car back on the ground after a lot of lift time.

Its actually pretty damned dirty in these shots.

as soon as it is back in action it will get another detail. Picked up some Dodo Juice I'm dying to try.

Very nice eye to detail .......... red was always a favorite of mine. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results of the Dodo Juice ..... be sure to put it on VERY lightly as many tend to apply too much causing a ghosting effect.

Grab some 303 Aerospace Protectant to dress everything. It is safe on belts and hoses and does not contain silicone, so it will not attract or hold dirt.

Wow, that's super clean. Some 303 as dressing will do the trick.

It's nice to see an owner take pride in such a beautiful M3. Enjoy it in the best of health.

Love your car. Each time I see pictures of yours, it makes me want to buy one as a project/weekend car. So awesome.

Super clean! Your car looks stunning and I bet it's a beast to boot. I am looking forward to seeing it dressed in Dodo.

unknown right now. The previous turbo kit was rated right at 400-415whp on pump gas. New turbo I just put in will support a lot more than that and meth injection and custom retune are scheduled for the next few months. Wouldnt be surprised to see 500whp+ on pump plus meth.

On the way to the shop for custom welding

New turbo vs old turbo

The pic with the car on the flat bed is pretty sweet looking. The towing company could use that on an advertisement.
