Lube your bonnet catch

Just washed the car after a seriously long break over the summer (been busy every weekend).

Nearly didn't get the bonnet open because the release catch wouldn't budge. Just managed it with a little bit more force than sensible.

Anyway, heads up - there was no lube on the catch at all. It would be worth putting some on next time you're there.

I had this problem after the winter finished, all the road salt that had worked its way under the bonnet had jammed my bonnet catch shut. Couldn't open to fill up any oil ended up taking it to stealers to prize open and lubricate.
