Trading in Jetta for 328i.!

Hello guys, well i've made many previous posts here in a short amount of time, but i'm going to be trading in my 05 Jetta (redesigned) for a order on 328i Black w/ sports package and nothing more, which comes to around 37K ..

I was wondering, how much do you think that the Dealership will pay for the Jetta? Because the KBB says its worth 18K..the car just has 7K miles on it also.

Will keep you guys updated!

Prepare for the worst. From past experience, any dealer will find any reason to say your car is worthless. Also, since your Jetta is only an 05, you will take the biggest hit of all. You need to be prepared to justify why the dealer should offer what you want. Check Edmunds.com; usually, they have better values, USUALLY. I would take a print out of which value benefits you to help plead you case.
On the other hand, you will love your 328i, better than any Jetta out there.

Thanks for the quick reply! For the Jetta, the model is 05.5 but the VIN classifies it as an 06, so i think that will work out. But all i'm worried about it that the dealer isn't going to give me the price that i want. That car bough was around 23K and its lost value already within two years. And i don't want to hear them saying that they are going to pay LESS then what it is actually worth now, i know thier not going to give me 19K for it but alteast 18K would do. Lets see how it goes, they said they will be getting a 328i sedan on the 28th, so i'll test drive that too just for fun!

Shoot I'd lay odds that they don't offer more than 15K on your Jetta.

Wow..If its 15K for trade in i would much rather sell it privatly, in which i could definatlly sell for more then 18K, but thats too much of a hassle...But it they DO really go low on the trade in, i'm just going to back out until i can sell the Jetta then..
