JB3 1.4 Beta First Dyno (Comparison with JB3 1.3)

*2008 E92 Space Gray 6MT with 30K miles on original spark plugs
*JB3 1.4 Rev8.3 Beta with Bogfix (Red Line) versus JB3 1.3 (Blue Line)
*Riss Racing Downpipes, Helix FMIC, BMS DCIs
*93 Octane, Crappy Fan, Crappy 94.50 degrees
*Map 7 (both runs)

Well guys, I went to the Dyno again today to test out the latest version. When I left my house it was raining and about 78 degrees but sadly when I got there 45 minutes later it was 94.50 at the Dyno and surprise, their main fan had broken down… all they had was a crappy garage fan that was actually in the office. They actually considered spraying the intercooler with some NOS…LOL but I told them to just do the Dyno anyways with crappy fan and all.

Now, from my road testing experience, I was expecting the Dyno to show a smoother curve and more power towards redline and at the shift (thanks to the new Bogfix). I was not disappointed!

As you will see below, the Dyno confirms exactly what I felt as the car somehow managed to pick up 36WHP and 27WTQ after 6.5K! SIMPLY AMAZING!!!

The Torque curve is super flat as well and the car feels a lot smoother and under control on the road (something the Dyno shows only marginally). It’s incredible how it just keeps getting better and better with each version. This Beta version should be ready for mass production very soon and those of you who get it will be extremely happy.

I know that with 65 degree weather and some race gas, I can break into the 400whp club.

Thanks to Terry and Team (and all the Beta Testers) for all the great work!

Please note that the Dyno guy made a mistake. The RED is 1.4 and the BLUE is 1.3:

More power but also stronger Lagfix, smoother partial throttle operation and Bogfix as well!

Kelvin, the dyno looks good on 93. with race gas, you will be in 400whp for sure !

8.3 is a huge improvement for us 6MT. can't wait to see how the 1.4 final does

Thanks for the kind words guys. More than peak WHP, the biggest difference is actually that it never drops after 6.5K and during the shift into the next gear. I think this will make a difference in the 1/4 for sure.

Also, the car is very smooth during normal driving and shifting as well (something the Dyno can't tell you).

Kelvin, very strong numbers! And I love that little 30rw push towards redline. If you're at 38x on 93 octane in 90 degree weather you may break 400rw on 93 in the winter!

And lets not forget that there might as well have been no fan... I should have taken a picture of it... There is one more "Surprise" that Terry won't disclose just yet coming for this version as well...

nice numbers indeed! but why is the graph so skewed? the hp/tq should be criss-crossing at 5252rpm

do you have the run file?

Because hp and torque scaling isn't the same.

There's no good reason not to set them equal, but sometime the DJ software does goofy things.
