the picture is attached here. do not respond if you're just guessing or know someone who did. I need someone to point out if they know for a fact for sure that they have jacked up at this location on their own E9x without problem. (using a floor jack of course) it seems nobody knows and everyone keeps saying to jack at differential or jack at the control arm. Well I don't want to do that. I want the front jack point and I want to know if this is it, and if you have done it or not. Thanks! btw: this is not my car |

My 535xiT has an almost identical jack point which I have personally used without a problem.
I will be using this lift point on the e92 shortly since it's time to put on winter tires. |

the stealership would probably rather lie to you in hopes of you not servicing your own car so they can make money off you.
besides that, the dealer could say since it is not in the manual, then it is not a valid jack point. That would probably be their excuse. Which is valid. But immoral. |

looks like that it according to the picture attached in this link: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ht=jack+points
just wondering why you need to jack it up at that point specifically? |

I've used it with no problems. Just put a piece of wood between the jack and the car keep from scratching the brace and cracking the under panel.

I've used it, no problem. I don't know if my jack will clear the front bumper when starting from the ground though (ZSP suspension), since I had it up on rhino ramps first. I was replacing my CDV and wanted some extra room.

I can testify for a fact that this is the front end jacking point - I recently used it. You may have a problem fitting in a floor jack if you have a sport package, my floor jack didn't fit, so I had to drive the car up on Rhino ramps first and then lift the car from this point.
Make sure you put wheel chokes behind the back wheels and NEVER get underneath the car if it's only suspended by the floor jack - SAFETY FIRST! |
