Guaging Interest... 2007 335D - Nice spec.

Hello all,

Once again, considering a sale although not overly bothered wether she sells or not. If she does, I will likely be getting a 335i Convertible so your welcome to offer me a PX if you have one, I MIGHT consider a high spec, manual 335i coupe - any car I buy must have around 25k miles max, as I tend to keep day to day cars for about a year and do about 20k.

My car...

2007 (07) E90 335D M-Sport Auto Saloon in Black.
49,000 miles.
FBMWSH (Rear pads due in about 3000 miles and nothing for a while after)
Fantastic condition, has stone chips to bonnet but nothing unusual, no car park scrapes dings etc.
Wheels have recently been refurbished and powder coated dark anthracite, so are immaculate and as new.

Spec is as follows -
AT with paddles of course.
M-Sport refinements (seats, bodykit)
Pro Sat Nav.
Brushed titanium Trim.
IPOD kit.
DAB Digital radio (which is bloody rare).
Heated Seats.
Black Leather.
Privacy Glass.
Rear Parking Sensors
Parrot Bluetooth kit hard wired.
19' 225 Alloy wheels, with run flats, rears will be due replacement in about 5,000 miles, fronts are fine.

Extra's include...
BMW Alpine retrofit speaker and amp upgrade.
Evolve Switch Remap with box (RR graph to prove 357 bhp)
BMW Performance Front Splitters (Genuine Carbon Fibre)
BMW Performance Rear Spoiler (Genuine Carbon Fibre)
Debadged rear (badges provided)
All BMW badges including wheels swapped for CF (originals included)

I have a million pics, including plenty on this site which can be found here amongst other places...

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...odded+detailed

No pics since the wheels were powder coated, but I can sort that out for you no probs.

Looking for £22,500 and am open to sensible, realistic offers upon viewing.

Matt

Well yeah, I guess it helps that we now have brand new options on the company car range...

Work won't let me have a two seater, so thinking of ditching the car allowance in favour of the company option, then just running the Porsche or similar on weekends or when I fancy. Keeps it special then doesn't it?

Not really buddy, it sounds like 'more money than sense' decision making !

What is the point of modifying a car that you are selling ? Money down the drain isn't it ?

Maybe, but noone has bought it yet, or shown much interest, so if its not selling, then I am keeping!

Ok, let me put it this way, right now there is NO suspension available that I want, so I cant spend improve the car how I want, hence I would be willing to get rid.

If I then get said suspension, and I fall in love with the car again - then I wont sell...

Unless I get a good offer, because everything has its price

Mate - I cant see your car selling on Pistonheads with the wording on your ad.

If you allow me to be critical, in your wording you say that you want the car to retire to a more 'sedate' life. You have listed all your mods and state that your are not a boy racer yet your ad gives the impression that the car has been thrashed to an inch of its life.

Just a polite criticism mate, probably worth rewording if you are serious about selling pal.

Hmmm, well its one of those things mate... as I mentioned last time this discussion came up, I don't really care how people perceive me, and I don't really care if it sells to be honest, not listing mods is a weird approach for a car which is so far from standard I guess....

I think a remap and black grilles might go unnoticed, but the CF can't be removed without respraying all the affected areas, the wheels are quite obviously not standard etc!

All I can say about the remap is that it can be switched.... sedate life comment is about mileage - truth being it would be impossible to rack up 50,000 miles of boy racer driving - I would be dead or banned lol!

Take your point though, as a person looking in - just not sure how else I can tell the truth!

I think a detailed, honest ad like that helps sell a car - if someone can be bothered to make the effort when writing the ad it gives the impression they've made an effort with the upkeep of the car.

Kind of agree with the comment above about a 'sedate life' tho - I would reword that personally, even if you 'don't mind if the car sells at all'

Yeah, to clarify - I thinking listing the mods is good idea pal.

Just change the 'retire to a sedate life' quote and your good to go.

As a buyer my 1st thought is what preceded a sedate life ? - a harsh one probably !

I agree with a couple of the comments above. You don't need to justify why you've decided to sell your car. So personally, i would remove the second paragraph completely. It doesn't add anything to the advert.

You've said it's a reluctant sale - I would just add that whilst you have mixed emotions, it's time for a change!

Good luck with the sale - seems a shame that no sooner than you've finished the project, that you're selling, but I guess the problems with the rear-end have left a nasty taste in your mouth.

Best

Hmm well yeah and slow progress on other key mods - its now a case of spend a LOT on some serious hardware, and risk it not reinvigorating the car for me, or sell it and start with something which sharper out of the box (M3, RS4, Boxster etc)

Anyway, the number of emails I have had is INSANE.... I am now up to 2 offers at 20k, 2 offers at 21.5 including a chap who wants to pay a deposit tomorrow...

Six or seven stupid part exchanges and one or two I am taking seriously...

Not to mention a few 'where did you get this' type of emails.

Hi

I want the map on mine but with a year and a bit left on my warranty i have put it off.

(car looks good by the way!)
