Quad exhaust tips for 335i mufflers with rear OEM M3 bumper - please help

Hi,

Thus I had an accident yesterday ( someone crashed into the back of my car yesterday ) I will upgrade the rear bumper to an OEM M3 one.

I'm searching for quad-exhaust tips now which can be welded to the stock 335i mufflers and provide the correct distance and diameter for the M3 rear bumper.

Anybody knows or did already such a mod ?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Cheers,
Eugen

Are you sure the OEM M3 bumper will fit? It is wider with the rear fender flaring out.

+1. there will be a lot of modification involved to get the oem M3 rear itself.

As for tips, go with cyba (derek) as he has a wide selection to choose from. However, because the tips of an M3 are so close to the center (compared to the 335) you will most likely need to buy a different set of mufflers to get them to fit.

Hmm ...

Thanks for your replies.

I saw such a car ( e93 335i with M3 rear bumper, a Hartge muffler, stock front ( M-Sport as I have ) with little carbon splitters and Hartge wheels ) @ deahler a couple of days ago - just beautiful. No overkill, no try to copy the M3, just beautiful.

The dealership ( head of their bodyshop ) ordered the M3 rear bumper right after I requested for it. Although it might be that it really would not fit thus they do this for the first time ?

I'll ask daehler what he had to do to get the bumper on. I like my exhaust sound so I try to get tips only. Thank you. I still hope anybody who did this mod will chime in ...

Cheers,
Eugen

are you sure it wasn't a normal 335 bumper that was cut to allow quad exhaust ? I'm with the other posters... don't think it will fit... wont line up with the rear quarter panels i don't think...

and if it does fit.... you will certainly have to do something with the exhaust/mufflers besides just the tips, they are in different places.... m3 has the exhaust pipes MUCH closer together

I'm aware about both. I already have the M-Sport and I know how the M3 bumper looks like. Also about the distance of the tips. The current distance ( end to end from one side to the other ) on my car is 90 cm ( with 2 four inch Dimida tips ), the stock M3 distance is 73.5cm with four 7.5cm OEM tips.

The responsible of the dealership drove an e93 M3 beside my car, for comparison purposes. He did not see a reason why it should not work.

Seems to trun out harder than I expected, as always . However, a challenge as well. I will stay away in case the efforts don't justify the mod. But I'll love and try to do it . This mod looks great on the e93.

Cheers,
Eugen

maybe there is something about the e93 that makes them more similar....

or maybe the backs are more similar... i know the fronts wouldn't work for sure......

well.. best of luck... and of course... when it's done.... pics !!!
