My new 2010 E91 330d M-Sport w/ Pics

Hi all,

I took delivery of my new E91 yesterday. Its my second E91 after a 2007 325d.
As I'm not too fond of the LCI look of the hood and mirrors I went for Black Sapphire. The interior is leather Oyster.
I managed to squeeze some 19" Style 225M wheels into the deal as I really like the look of them. Next up is painting the rear diffuser in car color.

Some advantages over the 2007 model:
- Navigation: The new iDrive system is so much faster. Big improvement!
- Engine: Much more quiet and refined. Already better mileage than the old engine.
- iPod/USB integration: I really missed that on my old car.

The climate control cluster is new, with a 'ALL' button instead of the 'REST' button. When pressed, the temperature is set equally for both left and right. Also, the bottons for the heated seats moved up there.

What really annoys me though is the cheapness of BMWs lately.
My E89 Z4 already was a let down in quality and attention to details.
The 2010 E91 model now has cheap plastic sunblindes instead of the nicely wrapped ones. Also the trunk cover doesn't slide up automatically anymore.

Have you tried that engine with 6AT also? Big difference?

Wow, thanks all!

I'm starting to enjoy it more and more. The engine now has 200km and starts to loosen up nicely. Can't wait to floor it and feel the 500 Nm torque.

@ remmib: Thanks my friend!
I'm not into AT, my 325d also was MT. My Dad has a 530d AT and I'm not enjoying the ride. I like to be more envolved. I also feel the AT doesn't fit Diesel engines, as it always wants to downshifts when accelerating at low revs.
And riding the 'torque wave' is all what diesels are about!

Also, the MT on this car is much smoother than the harsh one on my 325d.
Its gearsbox did produce an alarming sound in 6th gear lately, thats why I sold it in the first place.
And you get very good deals in Germany right now.
