Exclamation AR catted dp's VS RR catted dp's?

Hey guys!

As I earlier said somewhere there's possibility that one of my dp cat's are gone.
There's clinkin sound coming on idle right at where cat is located on dp.

I checked from the dealer and they guoted me 723€ each + labour

So I think it's the time to upgrade the dp's.

What you guys think is the better AR catted dp or RR catted dp?

Agree. I have had AR's for a few months now. No codes, or lights. AR' dp's were a work of art. The magnaflow high-flow cats they use about double the flow rate over stock,

Look into CP-E Downpipes, they have great quality parts and the cast bell-mouths really set it apart from the competition

So even with the cats you still have to have an o2 sim? I'm kind of worried about what the sim is doing. It says that it avoids a "timing pull." how does this happen. What's it doing?

yes you will still need the o2 sims. they dont do anything about timing pull... they just make the ECU think the o2 level is fine. thats it. Just get catless with o2 sims. The point of downpipes is the free the exhaust right after the turbos. I know many people that have basically sold or emptied their aftermarket dps cats after very little time since they realized what a mistake it was to buy Catted aftermarket dps.

How about the emissions if I change dps to AR catless ones? Im worried about not passing the registration with catless dps because the emissions.

Depends on your state. If you are concerned, go catted.

Bit of a thread jack, but I would love to hear a no-holds-barred drag out debate about catted vs. smokestack.
Pros and cons. Power. Dealer bitching.
