could Stett intercooler be causing a SES light?
I recently installed a stett fmic and since then I've gotten two SES lights. The first time it happened when I was warming up the the car in the morning. After about two days it went away. The second one happened about 5 days later also while I was warming the car up in the morning. Now I've been driving the car for about a week with the SES light still on. Any ideas what could be causing this. I will probably have the codes read this weekend. Thanks

Or get an el cheapo C-reader if you don't already have the BT scanner.......Eliminates alot of the guessing game, IMO.

You don't want any leaks in your engine, period!
Does the car feel like it's not putting out as much as it's suppose to when wot?

autozone will check the odbII code for free. No idea if it has a specific code for boost leak though.

I believe 30FE is the typical boost leak code. You can check the BT tool codes at the top of the forum for the boost leak code as well - I think it is 30FE - something to do with boost under target.

perhaps...you need an oil change? or you are due for service?
usually, when you get close to the time your car needs service, it gives you a ses light once, then twice, then it stays on when you are overdue for a service .... how many miles on the car?

I was getting consistent 30EE codes when I had a boost leak. I disassembled the boost circuit from the FMIC outlet to the throttle body and then reconnected everything and it was gone. I'm guessing this is the same thing the OP is experiencing.

45k. I actually just had the taken it in for plugs. And i just had the oil changed too. Maybe the dealer forgot to reset the SES light? I though I read in another thread that a boost leak would cause limp mode?
