List of Voice Commands (Voice Control System)
Here is a link to the Voice Commands available for the e60. I can only imagine that this list will be extended for the e90.
http://www.e60.net/information/E60_Voice_Commands.pdf Will be nice if there's a "Start Engine" command. Nathan |

Good find. Great just what we need, another thing to distract drivers while they drive (flipping through a 13 page voice command manual looking for a particular function).
I imagine I'll just be memorizing a few core commands but it's definitely nice to have all those commands for anyone who wants to use them. |

Thanks Nathan. It's not rocket science but here's a brief explanation of the Voice Control System.
Voice Control System This system enables drivers to use the telephone, telephone directory, notebook function, hi-fi features, and navigation system without having to take their hands from the wheel. It is an innovation which delivers greater safety for the driver on the road, along with increased comfort and ease of use. Audio instructions all derive from a preset store of vocabulary. The user says a term which is recognised by an identification system and stored via the telephone interface; it is a closed language dialogue system that emits an audio signal whenever a particular order is accepted. It also features several useful functions such as the reduction of road noise, independence from a particular speaker and a system which recognises compound terms. Up to 30 terms can be stored in its vocabulary; the telephone directory possesses a redial function and can save up to forty numbers. |
