explain to me why i would pay 35k for a one year old 330i when I could buy a new 335i (or leftover new 330i) for about the same or less $? my guess is a dealer MIGHT offer you 30k for it. You could probably get 32/33 on eBay, but might not as many folks want autos now.
325 and 330 owners are going to have sticker shock when their current values plunge 3-5k+ over the next few months as the 328/335's hit the market. |

First, I really doubt ur gonna be able to get a 335 or a left over 330 for about the same price. Secondly, if you were to buy a brand new 330 or 335 you're gonna lose about 5-6k the moment u drove if off the lot. So why not buy a used car and save a boatload of money? Finally, the 325 and 330 are not gonna take that much of a hit (if at all) like you've suggested. |

dealers are not going to sit on leftover 06's and the new car market is slow, i don't care who you are or what you are selling. i have the hottest car bmw makes and am asking 6k under list for a car with 900 miles on it. watch ebay and cars.com in the next few months and prices will drop sharply. I can get a bare bones 335 for well under 40k which is a bump over a 330i. dealers are selling demo and lease turn in 330s for low 30s. 325s are falling into the mid-high 20s. its a great car but it's not limited edition or anything. also you never get the price of your options back after buying a car, which is why dealers and the market discount used car options because someone could buy a new, albeit lesser optioned car for the same $. In that case, most opt for a new car with longer warranty and piece of mind that it hasn't been tracked/abused, etc. again, not trying to rain on your parade, but i will be AMAZED if you get more than 33k for it.
also, those who lease will opt for buying a newer car because of the higher residuals. bmw just dropped their residuals on 330s big time. go check |

1) How can you get the "bare bones 335" for well under 40k if the MSRP is 40.6k??? 2) Find me the 325 for mid 20's (normal conditione and mileage), I'll get it for you (even "bare bones" one) 3) Maybe market around you is slow, where I am, they can't keep them on the lot 4) and talking about the "bare bones", this guy is selling the 330 that it FAR, FAR from bare bones! So, go take a chillpill and mind your own business... |

I am amazed at how defensive you guys can get. it's not personal.
as far as your comments go: 1) How can you get the "bare bones 335" for well under 40k if the MSRP is 40.6k??? msrp on a 335i is $38,700. dealers are selling them closer to invoice than list. list is for suckers. ed invoice is $33,100. lots of folks are taking advantage of that as well. 2) Find me the 325 for mid 20's (normal conditione and mileage), I'll get it for you (even "bare bones" one) a 325 invoice is 28,300. dealers are selling them for invoice and below now NEW, so if you can get a new one for around 30k, used values will follow. 3) Maybe market around you is slow, where I am, they can't keep them on the lot my dealer just sent me a note OFFERING me any 330 on the lot (he has 5 on the lot) for invoice (and he usually tries to hold the line on price). that tells me i can do a little better with some negotiation. 4) and talking about the "bare bones", this guy is selling the 330 that it FAR, FAR from bare bones! it really doesn't matter that much what options are on it, as you can never really recoup the options after the fact. that's why a bare bones 330i would carry better resale than a loaded 325. in addition, the only REAL resale values that count are the auction prices. kbb, nada, edmunds are all pipe dreams. nada is closest, but good luck finding dealers who will pay those prices on trades (unless they are taking out of your new car discount) |

The INVOICE means nothing even for the 2006 (out of existance) 325i, especially for the 335!!! If you're such a gread dealing dude, get me the car for the invoice, I'd love to buy it, and give you $500. So, get me the 335 at $500 over the invoice and you get $500 for your effort. As for the mid 20's for the 325 -- I asked you to find me one, not theorize here. Your thinking is not helping here at all -- show me the example. Give me your dealer's name and number -- I want ANY BMW at invoice. I want to see the dealer beg me to get the BMW at invoice. I waaaaaaaaaaannnnnnttttt to seeeeeee that. So, stop ruining someone elses post and go create your own. Your stupid coments are definitely not welcome on this one. And if you want to buy his 330 -- PM him with an offer, not this stupid crap. By the way, I am in no way defensive here as I plan to keep my 325 for next 10 years when the KBB value will mean nothing to me... |

Pardon me? F. U.
I have three Bachelor's degrees from the University of Massachusetts and a Master's degree from Babson College (#1 school in the country for entrepreneurship). I command a special operations communications unit in the Army Reserve, and I run a $20MM business in my civilian career. I have three new Porsches in my garage and an M5. If you went to school.... ...you make me laugh. Dickheads like you can say what you want about the goverment because brave men and women stand ready to defend your right to say it a**hole. It is the Soldier, not the politician, that gives you freedom, but clearly you wouldn't know the difference. |

ky_soldier,
If you are not interested in buying my car...then don't. What is gained by posting a message like that? While your obvious expertise and intelligence is appreciated, your unsolicited advice is not necessary. That is particularly true on a thread upon which I am trying to sell a car. Thank you for your consideration. |
