It has the m body kit lite door sills chrome shifter and brake and some other stuff, but i was wondering if BMW would have a record what was ordered with the car |

The option list wasn't that extensive.
Premium Package - the giveaway is the garage door opener/homelink in the mirrors and folding side mirrors. If you have leatherette you don't have Premium but if you do have leather you don't necessarily have it either. Bluetooth came with Premium but was also a standalone option with BMW Assist. Sports Package - easiest giveaway are the seats with the thigh extension. Cold Package - headlight washers and rear seat/trunk pass through is the giveaway since heated seats were also a standalone option. Heated Seats - buttons on lower dash - unlikely to be added after the fact. Could be part of Cold package - see above. Comfort Access - key does not need to be in the slot to start - unlikely to be added after the fact. If you have the iPod USB port in the center console, that was not likely added. Came with car. Active Cruise - you will have the emitter in your center air scoop in the front bumper. Park Distance - you will have 4 small round radar thingies in your rear bumper. Active Steering - not sure how to determine that one. IDrive/Nav - if you have it, it came with the car. I'm sure you know if you have it. Metallic paint was an option. If it is not metallic, you will have a (non-metallic) red, black or white car. Sirius radio was an option and there was also an option to prewire the car for Sirius - not sure how you check the latter. Steptronic was an option. Body kit would be after the fact, ditto lighted sills and chrome gear shift.

So the only thing i have is the Sports Package
i'm not sure if i have headlight washers, i have the plates there but i'm not sure if there is anything under it. I want comfort access, but not sure if i can add it I don't have the USB Port I want it though I do have metallic paint i have the sirius logo under the menu but i don't use the service. ok so is there a way to add comfort access or the usb port? Oh and thank you for the extended post. |

Do you have the ski pass though in the rear seat? How about heated seats? If so, then you have cold package. The headlight washers weren't a standalone option and you shouldn't have the plates otherwise. Look in the DIY or Audio forum to see if anyone has done the retrofit of the iPod hook up. I think it's a tough one since it probably requires reprograming.

USB port takes a bit more work than most DIYs, and does require programming at the dealer. Look in the DIY section for writeups on how-to. |

take it (your VIN at least) to a dealer. they will run a VIN edit and can tell you everything about your car, where purchased, accessories, service. tell them they will be doing your service work and they will bend over backwards to get you to come back.

yes your car has washers, dont know for sure about the 3, but I had them on my 5 series every 3rd time your squirt your window they'll wash the lights (only when you have your lights on) hence no switch to wash them....
Sorry I am that weirdo who gets a car and reads the manual! (learnt all sorts of other cool stuff too!) Cheers stu |

I do too, cover to cover. Even the stupid stuff about how to turn on the radio and how to use the window controls.
