Just got raped by UPS charges

UPS just charged me $100 CAD in COD charges for delivering a set of H&R Sport springs from TireRack US. This is turning out to be a much more expensive excercise than I had initially thought...will have to pay another $250 CAD to get them installed...crazy

Why are you using UPS? Use USPS or Fedex.

And for us Canucks, no brokerage fees. Just a $5 admin fee from Canada Post.

I put gift and 20.00 dollar value, so fees have to be paid for my buyers.

TireRack uses UPS. You don't have an option.

were you not aware of the outrageous charges for your product when you made the purchase? Just curious for my future references. I think if you buy something online, it will tell you how much is shipping?

These are customs charges not included in the shipping charges he probably already paid.

Not unless they've changed in the past three years. I ordered four tires and they were sent US Post. Must have taken the slow route, though, because it took 61 days to the UK. Note to self: next time pay for Priority.
