Giac or Procede

Hi all,

Just a new baby to this forum. I'm now considering to mod my toy and either Giac or Procede is in my shopping list.

Would bros please give me some ideas of these two with pros and cons.

I realize that Procede is a little bit more expensive than Giac. Would you please give me the contact in HK so I can get more details to compare.

Duarability and more torque over stock at lower rpm are my preferences.

Tons of thanks.

Quoted "a bit weird to welcome an Audi lover here....".

Ha..ha.. actually I'm the one similar to movie "無間道" to point out the weaknesses here and report to my boss "Audi the King"... just kidding.

JB3 is good as well but there seems no local support/ dealer in HK for this product.

I've already checked out the thread before but seems no direct contact for reference.

Any bros can help ??

Your forum name seems kind of offensive when you are posting in our Bimmer forum!! I was an Audi enthusiast b/4 and the reasons I moved back to the bimmer world is wholly be/cos of the N54 3.0 Bi-turbo engine!! A few months back, I sold my A6 2.7 Bi-Turbo to an interested buyer and then, bought an E92 335!!

A few of our friends group are driving the 335 in HK and whilst, we are all using JB3 in view of the nice user comment spread out one by one!! If you want to order a JB3, just contact Terry of Burger and he is very helpful & responsive to your queries!! You can contact Terry by this email address, terenceburger@gmail.com

If you wanted to look for a used one, make sure you purchase the new 1.4 Beta program chip fm Terry as previous 1.2, 1.22 and even 1.3 was not very low rev (torque) friendly and whilst, not very stable with potential limp mode occurences to couple of our users in HK!! The new 1.4 is indeed Heaven and Hell difference and the low rev is a killer for the non turbo V8 M3 at traffic start..... of course, high rev will be a total different story.. and the M3 is indeed a high rev beast!

For such piggy bag type of tuning, I don't think the dealer can help you much with it except the installation...however, the installation is very easy!! So, why you keep looking for a tuner while you can order the JB3 fm Terry direct! Further, you need some supporting hardware mods in order to run the map, of anything higher then Map 5!! Therefore, you probably need some extra $$ to yield the max gain.....aside fm purchasing the JB3 1.4 base on its listed price.

Thanks Freak for your info.

I'm a B7 2.0T owner before. And before this Audi, I owned a E46 325ci. I like the coupe much more than sedan but due to family issue, I've no choice.

Back to the JB3, is it easy to install DIY or need to find some garages for help ?

Hi 335 Freak,

Read through the JB3 and N54 forum info and seems that comments regarding JB3 are very positive.

Decide to go for it and will place the order in coming few days. JB3 is already under version 1.4.

Side question: Which map U're using ? Map 3 or 5 ?

Hi Audi Lover,

B7 2.0T is a great car but once you tried the 6 Cylinder Turbo... you just cannot go back to 4 cylinder anymore!!

As of the JB3, it is not tough to install but make sure you will buy the PnP version i/o pin and that one is pain of the neck if you are not a very patient people like I do..... You simply do the installation by your own but need to buy the tools to unplug the cover inside the hood...

In the meantime, I'm running with Map 5 with the following supporting mods;-

1. Stett DV & Charge Pipe
2. Stett CAI
3. Stett Big Intercooler

**Order fm Stett direct and Chad is a nice guy and charge very cheap shipping, I just paid USD25.00 for all of 3 to ship to HK**

4. BMS DP Fixed - Order fm Terry of burger

Once again, please ensure to get the 1.4 verson..... big hell of difference comparing with 1.3 version..

One of my friend is running with Catless DP and he is now driving Map 7 with 0-100 recorded time by butt dyno recently as 4.6sec...and rolling start as 4.1 sec, his car is a E91 335 with a bigger trunk! Believe for E92 and E90 like you and me, should be even faster..

Hi Freak,

Really feel the difference between 4 vs. 6 cylinder,.. like at the expenses of paying more on gas bill. In fact, the difference is something like "RX65" and "Valentine One" that you will not go back the the former.

Delivery date on 4-Nov. Lazy guy like me is getting the PnP under version 1.4.

Mostly likely I will start at default setting (map 3) first. Any problem (e.g. error code) that you/ your friends encountered b4 when doing your 1st time installation ?

Yup...you are absolutely right about it!!! You made a good choice to get 1.4 PnP and can't to receive your sharing of the enthusiast upon installed!! Map 3 as a start is a very good begin and then, you can try Map 4 and then 5 to figure out which one suits you the most when the weather is getting cold...hopefully next week!!

Mine doesn't have any fault code after the 1st time installation but i recently got a HPFP failure whereby, you should check what version is your HPFP as the demand of other parts will be getting high.......

Freak,

Sorry to hear about the HPFP issue. Seems thare are some guys here facing similar problem. Replacement of this stuff seems expensive... and at least can buy a used Rolex !

Is it just a fault code triggered by JB or really a HPFP issue ? Have you checked with Terry for advice and what will you do next ?

Hi Audi Lover, It is indeed a HPFP issue and since my car was manufactured on early 2007 whereby, my HPFP version is the oldest one or the one with the most trouble so far!! It is not the JB and have nothing done with it when I didn't even get a fault code be/cos of the JB..... and DP fix.... Trust me, that HPFP is expensive to buy in HK and whilst, our group of 335 friends are designing to order two in US just for spare within our group to use it when that HPFP can die on you all of a sudden without any advance notification at all...
