Does anyone ordered a E92 w/o Premium Package.

Interior and exterior auto diming in included in the Premium Package.

Well, so if you don't order your car with the Premium Package, you get a standard mirror w/o auto-diming?? (just like the ones in a Toyota Corolla maybe?)

I know that the interior mirror comes with auto-diming standard in the E46...

If you go to Circle BMW website they sell the auto dimm homelink mirror ~ $300+ and a $15 retrofit harness. This is what I plan to do as I will not be getting the premium package.

.hmmm... I was unter the impression that adding hte auto-dim mirror (which I believe has a compass and controllers for devices like garage door openers) could not be added unless you bought the premium package...

...sounds like a nice option to add in my opinion as I will not be getting the premium package either.

is this harness and mirror 'option' something that can be easily added to your car or would one need to do some headliner distruction?

I don't think so...I didn't get premium on my 330 ZHP (or my new 335) and it doesn't have it...I have tint on my car and I have the mirror angled just so...it hasn't been an issue at all.

if headlights shine into your mirror it will dim it for you..in a manual setup you have to flip a little lever beneath the rear view mirror to do that.

How does the non auto-diming mirror look like?
Does it look the same as the one with auto-diming?
