wheels HARD to take off

hi guys

First time taking the wheels off today, after more than 2 years of ownership. never took the wheels off
had the lugs loosened, jacked up the car, removed the lugs, but this SOB wheel won't come off.

No matter how hard i pull, kick, yank, etc, it won't budge.

any suggestions?
thanks

Best way is to spray a little penetrating lubricant into the holes of the wheel lugs, let it sit for a while and then either give the edge of the rim a few good kicks or use a large hammer to hit the BACK of the rim edge (Use a piece of wood not to damage the rim.)
When taking off my winter tires after a long Canada winter this usually works.... (And no offence but be sure all the lugs are off...)

+1... before reinstalling them use a wire brush to remove all rust around the hub and apply a bit of anti seize to prevent it from happening again!

NO! Do not spray lubricant onto the holes of the wheel lugs!!! Lubricant on the thread will result in over-torquing when you re-install the lug bolts which could result in them breaking.

I did my change on Friday, took me 2-3 minutes of hammering the BACK (inner part) of the wheel to get them off. I used rubber hammer though. Jack the car high, and slam the wheel with rubber hammer while rotating the wheel and it must go off eventually. After you remove it, clean the hub (remove the rust) as was mentioned above.

Detailed DIY here.

I had this experience too with my first car, lol. Now i'm an amateur mechanic ehhhh... Why I ask Why!!! I hate working on cars... Anyways just give the very top of the tire a small sidekick, this breaks it loose. Use your judgment on how much force to use, a rubber mallet can also be used but if you have low profiles you may damage the rim or tire...

You just need to kick the shit out of the wheel.
Back and forth. Left, right, left, right, etc. Until it comes off.

I had this problem before. The best thing to use to bang the rim off is a rubber mallet. Works every time. I would also consider using some anti-seize on the back side of the rim. That should take care of this issue in the future.
