Bye bye BMW
Sad day today saying goodbye to the 335d, I can't below how quickly two years has gone by. I will miss it but the lease was up so it was time for a change.
I decided to get something bigger and different and it was between an X5 3.0sd or a Land Rover Sport, you can see below which one I went for. Very pleased with it so far, its the 2010 3.0 TDV6 HSE. Very different to drive than the E92 but a great driving position. BMW dealers were useless when I enquired about an X5, just trying get to look at one was hard work, neither of 2 dealers I went to had one available.

It has more torque than a 335d so isn't bad but its a heavy car to shift. Certainly doesn't feel at all sluggish but I've only done about 10 miles so far!

lovely choice of replacement. I think the RRS's are the business. Have real road presence and look really smart.

Why have we taken up the USA convention of imagining our cars are from the future. How on earth can anyone own a 2010 car in 2009??????
ITS A 2009 car!!!!!!! rant over

Thanks for the comments guys. The interior does seem very well made and is a huge improvement over the 2009 cars . All that money and they don't even give you floor mats. Standard spec was very good though, it would have cost £000s to bring an X5 up to the same spec. It should return 30mpg but I've not managed that yet, emissions are high that's where BMW really leads the way.
Might get an Evolve map when they have one available.
