Who's on the Manon ?

I'm also on the Manon, due to arrive in NY on 10/5. Does it really take 2 weeks after that for it to reach my dealership? Or is that timeframe just in Canada? A friend of mine in NYC got his about a week after it got off the boat. Does anyone know the average for upstate NY?

Depends how far you live from the port of entry. For me the car is arriving in Halifax and it's a loooong way to my dealer. 2 weeks would be worst case scenario. Don't forget it still has to clear customs, receiving inspection, be loaded on truck or rail...

I'm sure the boat will steer well north of Isaac. Besides, I'm not sure even a hurricane would rock that boat. I think I read that it's 23,000 tons empty!

I also did a little math based on the locations that the Manon reports. Am I correct that it's traveling about 25-30MPH? That seems a little slow to me, but then again I've never hauled 7000 vehicles

Sounds about right. They are not that fast. Still expected in halifax on Tuesday sometime.

I guess the Manon was delayed by a day - probably due to tropical storm Isaac. It will now be in Canada on 10/4 and NY on 10/6. My dealer said that I should expect delivery 5-8 days after the boat docks, which isn't bad. I just hope I have the car before the following weekend because I'm planning a trip. Good luck everyone on the Manon!

That's right, they were delayed to the storm. Scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning in Halifax (currently about 250 miles SE of Halifax). another week before getting the baby

I know the real reason the Manon was delayed reaching the US until today - it's German-American day!

According to AISLive.com, the Manon has been docked in the New Jersey harbor since this morning (when I first checked). So hopefully the unloading is going nice and quick.

No change in status for my car on the hotline yet though.

Weird. My car was on the Manon (confirmed by my SA) and was "in transit" until this morning. Now the automated hotline says "at the port awaiting a shipping vessel". I just went back in time!

Yah, mine says "awaiting a shipping vessel" too. I wouldn't worry. I actually had this problem before. When my car finished production, it said it hadn't started again. It got corrected within a day or two.

Do a search by your VIN number.
It should say discharged if it was delivered to port.

wierd, dealer called me 2 days after telling me car would be in on 10/12 and says they had just unloaded it from the truck(10/6), so i'm picking it up tomorrow.

Has the status of your order on the phone hotline or the tracking site changed? Mine has been the same since the boat was unloaded. So I still envision it sitting in a warehouse in Jersey.
