A parting gift overnight!

Having had my pride and joy for exactly one week, yeap, just one week! a member from the lower end of the gene pool kindly left me this parting gift. Not only that they drove off not leaving any name or address etc, so that I could follow it up and ask them "Do you know what nemesis means?".

In with love out with unadulterated hate at the momentmad026

As i type she has just been collected to be taken to the bodyshop to be placed back to her former glory, just a small matter of a week without her and the policy excess.............

Sadly no, parked up at 5pm last night and found as is at 10 this morning. Looks like the bodyshop will start work on her this afternoon so hopefully this will be a "blot on the landscape". Was gutting to she her being driven off though, but I did see the non damaged side and boy she do look fantastic!

I didn't know the fenders were plastic (or some type of composite).

I think most cars these days have their wings made of composite/plastic as it absorbs energy from impacts better and distributes the forces wider saving the occupants from injury more effectively....well thats the theory....I think!

I'd just love to met the driver of the other car and explore that theory a la Vinny Jones style in "Snatch"!

I'm prettry sure its a HGV or van that did this, the scratches are high up on the panels and door, rubber striation marks high up which suggest the wheels were quite big. Of course it could have been a Rolls Royce Phantom but somehow I think not. Secondly I heard a lorry reversing into the mouth of the junction very near where the car is parked sometime prior to the discovery, so just adds to the theory. The driver must have known that they had hit something, the damage is just too great for them not to have noticed. They have probably looked at the damage and thought, "thats looks expensive and my job might be on the line, best I sod off sharpish!"

Oh and the mirrors were thankfully turned in so a blessing in disguise I guess

Unfortunately I dont have a driveway or garage as neither came with the house first time in 22 years of living here that this sort of thing happened. Parked my other cars in the same spot and not a scratch, 7 days of parking the M in that spot and bang!.............
