it's here and it's fabulous!

Just picked up my Z4 today. This is my third BMW and by far the most fun!

Oh, sorry. I guess I did leave out the details.

2009 Z4 30i / Crimson red w Black leather / Premium package / Heated seats / Wind deflector / Sat radio /

I got very lucky with this one. I went in to the dealer just yesterday for a pre-inspection 3 months before the end of lease on my 2007 328xi coupe. Well, they really wanted my 328 now so they offered to pay off my lease early and gave me a very sweet deal on a remaining 2009 Z4 so long as I took one of two that they had on the lot. I saved thousands getting the 09, versus waiting until the end of lease on my 328 and getting into a 2010 Z4. Red was not my first choice, but it's really growing on me. I totally love this car! This all happened in less than 24 hours. Crazy but I'm happy!

Thanks but "bro"? Why do some people assume that all car enthusiasts are men. I'm a woman and proud to love my cars!

But thanks!

I think "bro" was just an overzealous expression; we really love women that are car/mechanical enthusiasts!

Hey Deb,

Congratulations on the new Z. Are you planning to drive the Z in the winter? Being in Ohio, I'm sure you get a good deal of snow. Having come from a 328xi coupe, I'm sure you had no problem. Are you planning on putting on winter tires and driving it in the snow or do you have a winter vehicle? I had a Z4 in the past. I put winter tires on it and drove it in the snow and it did just fine. The only problem was when the snow got deep. I'm from New England, so we get some decent snow here. Probably not as much as you, however.

Thanks for the congrats. I'm in Cincinnati. We don't get as much snow down here as they do up in Cleveland or Toledo. Usually just a few really snowy days a year. My husband has a 4x4 truck that I'll drive in bad weather, but mostly I'll take Zed whenever weather allows. I may go with winter tires on the rear only.

Anyone have any thoughts about putting winter tires just in the rear? Good enough for mild winters?

Ok - thanks for that information. I was not aware. The whole point of winter tires is to be safe, so if just 2 defeats that purpose, I'll go with all 4. No brainer.

Hi and congrats on the car. I know you've already agreed to do the 4 snows. The reason for the front snows is steering and braking control! Have fun with your Z, and be careful in that yucky stuff!
