The venue is Sir James Mitchell Park on the South Perth foreshore (corner of Coode Street and Mill Point Road), and the day starts at 10am. Hope to see some M3 on the day.

Andre: Hope you can make it.

Cheers mate. Unfortunately the E46 is on the market to make way in the garage. I really like that straight six engine.

How long before the dealer hand you the keys to your M3 ? I hope you haven't been suffering sleepless nights anticipating the car's arrival.

It was a nice selection of cars and a very good turn out. But very disappointing from an E92 M3 point of view - just two cars - given the number of E90/92/93 M3's in the club.

For the first time saw very good collection of E46 M3's including two imports from South Africa (M Pow3r) and Alantis Blue from UK.

M3 owners: I think thru this forum we must organise to catch up either for a coffee or for a run. I will try and update when there is a club run, well next one won't be till next year now, so we must try and catch up before.

Andre, I know you're a busy man, how does this sound?

Thanks. But like what AussieM3 said, we need to get more M3 action going on here in WA.

I will be away for December but if anyone who is keen in some track work, I would be able to organise some skidpan, closed circuits and Barbagallo Tuning Arvos in Jan 2010.

I'm hoping we can see some more M3s in full strength.

I'd be EXTREMELY KEEN on some skidpan and track work in the new year, but I will be in Bali in mid-Jan. How about early Feb? It would be good to get a few M3 drivers together in WA!

AussieM3: My Dec is quite hectic as our school breaks on Dec 4 and work hots up in the lead up to Xmas. My Remus plans are on hold as the E92 muffler tips are too long for the E90 and they haven't made an E90 version. The E92 will fit but the risk of burning your shins increases dramatically!

Early Feb would be great. This should give everyone a heads up and plan well ahead. The idea is to pick a date that is comfortable for all drivers.

As it is, it would appear that there are about 3 or so active WA members that are on this forum ? Perhaps they are on other forums and are unaware of this site.

Meanwhile we could also make good use of time to get the word out and to recruit more WA people.

As for track work, depending on what level of experience everyone has, the skidpan and road circuit at RAC driving centre would be a good start.

Track rental at RAC driving centre cost $660 for 2 hours. With 10 drivers, price would be $66 per person. They may not necessarily be M3s so we could always get other people to make up for numbers.

I've just nutted out that the RAC Driving Centre is/was the AHG centre! I wouldn't imagine getting 10 drivers would be too hard - there are at least 4 135i drivers in the club who I'm sure would be interested. I also know of 2 other E90 M3 drivers who are club members but don't visit this site - tracking them down shouldn't be too hard.

EDIT: What's the fastest anyone has done at RAC/AHG? I did a few laps in a V8 "Supercar" and couldn't go faster than 120kmh down the straight. Mind you, my gear changes in a manual were pretty rusty.

Sounds like a plan. Now we just need to get them to commit to a particular date.

I shall wait for RAC to post the 2010 schedules before listing them here.

The hard bit will be to get the drivers to commit several weeks before the actual date as a deposit has to be made in order to book the track.

This could easily be done through a meet up or photo op.

I am all for it. February I think is a good time and given the Club doesn't have any events at that time of the year I am sure we can attract some M and 1-series members. I am sure at $66 people will be lining up to come.

I will try and get an email list for the M owners and maybe we can send out a a communique informing of the event.

Andre, I will give you a call some time this week.

That would be great Aussiem3.

And this should also give Andre some time to shop for his exhaust.
