Why is my car still on order!!????

Could any of the veterans post their opinions why my 335i coupe is still on order without a scheduled production date after 13 days of putting in the order at my dealership? I ordered Space Grey metallic paint, coral red interior with brushed aluminum trim, sport package, automatic transmission, paddle shifters, active steering, BMW Assist with bluetooth technology, rear park distance control, premium package, cold weather package, comfort access, on-board navigation, heated seats, and power rear sunshade. Price came to $51,895 with destination. I haven't heard of any delays other than the navigation software but that's been over for awhile now, so any help is greatly appreciated!!

you're not the only one! i placed my order last month and the only answer i got as far as production date is that they're "aiming" for nov production, but it could be dec. so there's no definite answer. but there's no doubt that you probably won't get the car till atleast jan.

Vehicles with NAV are in production. Mine is in production and people have them on the streets, including members of this forum.

That is wrong. They have been in production for over a month now! Mine is on its way to the dealer as I type. My car went into production at the end of August.

I am in the same boat as you. When I call the 1-800 number I get the reply "Your vehicle is on order with no confirmed production date". When I ordered Sept 20th I was told delivery would possibly be the last week of Oct or the first week of Nov. At this point I don't see this happening.

I am in the exact same boat as you! I ordered on Sept 22nd and the car status is still "Your car is scheduled for production but no confirmed production date".

Gentlemen,
I just emailed my CA and asked if this was true. I surely hope not. I know this is a highly sought after model but I find a 3 month delivery time unacceptable. If any of you find out anything I would appreciate you posting what you know. Thanks in advance.

I´m located in Germany and ordered a 335i 2 1/2 weeks ago, Called my dealer today and the confirmed production date is week 43, less than 3 (full) weeks from now. Sounds ok to me, I´ve never had to wait more than 6 weeks for a BMW (till now). Let´s hope it stays that way...
