Hey guys,
So I've been casually looking for another e9x to replace mine with as I miss driving a stick and would really like to have I drive as well. I finally found the perfect car it's aw/saddle and has I drive and whatnot. The thing is, is that the rear bumper has the little circles like the car has pdc but there is not pdc button by the heated seats like I think there should be. So I continued looking and saw a red e90 with the exact same problem. Is there a reason that these cars are like that or is it just a coincidence that theyre both messed up?

The pre-LCI e90's only have PDC on the rear. So it automatically activates when the car is put in reverse and automatically shuts off when the car is put out of reverse. Therefore, there is no need for a button.

^^^What he said. And as long as it has 6MT and ZSP, everything else is just a bonus, but not a necessity IMO. But, I do have to say that I love my LCI iDrive.

Ohh I see, so there isn't even suppose to be a button? Well this changes everything then. I'm assuming it's the same case for e92s?

Damn I saw this car a few weeks ago and didn't call about it because I figured it'd been rear ended and the bumper was replaced with a PDC bumper. I'm going to call on it tomorrow hopefully it's still there as it's still on autotrader. Oh an glad to see you finally settled on the black, I was wondering the other day what decision you ended up making

You will only have a PDC button if you have front and rear PDC. The US E92 models all along were only available wit the rear PDC, so that's why there is no PDC button on the dash.

Thanks for remembering. Yeah I did decide on SBM. I've had a few lighter colored-cars in the past (TiAg, AW, DG), mainly b/c I think they hide imperfections better. But in the end, I've always admired black BMWs from a far. They look so nice WHEN detailed properly. Anyways, I found one with all the options that I wanted for a "fair" price. I'll keep her for 2.5-4 years, and then switch again.

I c that we are switching car colors. You are going to AW, and I went SBM.

Nice find. I think the price is pretty fair. I am sure you'll be able to negotiate a lower price though. I actually saw this one when I was searching for my car. I passed for a few reasons:

1. Too far.
2. Wanted the LCI iDrive ('09+ models).
3. Warranty runs out in 1.5 years or so.

Otherwise, great looking car

yeah it is a little far for you lol, if I could afford an 09 i'd totally go for it but ill probably just stick with this one atleast til the redesign in 2013 or whenever it's suppose to be. I called today and it's still available so I'm driving down monday to take a look at it and make sure everything checks out. This one has comfort access, navi, PDC all of the extras mine doesn't have, I just hope I don't get raped on the trade in like I know I probably will.

Awesome. The main thing is that it has 6MT. You're love it! iDrive is also a very nice feature. You have the same criteria as I did. 6MT and iDrive were at the top of my list. All the other options are nice of course, but 6MT is what makes you smile everyday you drive her. Lets us know how it goes. Why don't you just try to sell your car privately. You'll probably get $3-5K more than at the stealership.

Well I'm hoping to get 30k for mine, the most I could get for it privately is probably like 33k, and I figured after the tax savings it wouldn't be much difference at all so I might as well just trade and save the hassle.
