Offiicial Dealer-Programable option thread!

Alright, so I decided perhaps we should make a thread for the extra options that the dealer has to program. Please add to the list by stating the option in bold coupled with the # (1, 2 , 3, 4 , 5 etc). Thanks

1. 10-15mph auto-door lock
2. Fake alarm light

hey e90fleet,
is the september software update a worldwide release or is it pretty much suited to the US & Canadian markets that are lacking in quite a few areas, specifically in cars without iDrive?

my aust spec car (inc iDrive) has all of the features that the others don't have.

thanks e90fleet.

Worldwide rlease

But as you say Idrive cars already have most of the functions
But with the update non-idrive cars should be able to set them via the Instrument cluster.

We are also hoping for MP3 for the Idrive guys

I just got a call from my dealer asking me to bring the car in for re-programming.

What should I ask them to do .. autolock and alarm light .. anything else I should be aware of?

Will South African dealers know how to do the software update? And better yet...will they actually do it?

Would be pretty nifty to be able to set things myself...
But then, my car is working pretty well...do I want them to start messing with it... *thinks*

They have been updating 7 and 5 Series for years.

The 5 Series guys do say some dealers are better than others at understanding software updates.
