Automatic headlamp control does not work
I have the automatic headlamp system, but it does not work even when the switch is at position 1.I asked BMW Finland about it and they said :The factory has changed the program so that it can´t
be used in a country where the light´s should be on all the time.In my previous BMW´s it has been working. How about your car´s in those countries where the light´s must be on all the time? Anybody have an aswer how to cure this problem?

What isnt working ?
Are your lights not turning on or are they not turning off ? Or do you mean active headlights ( where the headlights turn when you go around a bend ) ? |

They are not working as indicated in user´s manual. They are on all the time when car is running. They should be off and on in a tunnel or when the ambient light changes.

But from your first post it seems your laws say your lights must be on all the time.
Is this correct ? The sensor only works when the light switch is in the A position |

I don't know what you people are going on about.
The light sensor turns your lights on when the ambient light drops below a certain level. If your contry law requires(or their is an ordinance for) daytime lights, then the lights will always be on. People in other parts of the world have the inner halogens on half strength for DRL's and the Xenon's for night time... |
