Altered rear end.
I have altered the rear end of the new F10 5-series to make the tail lights a bit more L-Shaped IMO. What do you guys think. Sorry about the poor quality but it gives you an Idea.

I think the two parts of each tail light need a certain balance and I find that in your (OP) modification, the trunk lid mounted portion is too small.
I think that BMW did a decent job with the new tail lights on the F10 series cars. I quite like the smoke/dark effect...
