Surprising q-car
Sitting in traffic today behind the worlds dullest car
Yes a 2006 Toyota Avensis, however noticed the badge said 2.2 180. Doubt it weighs much, presume it could be mapped to 230 ish, bet it would be bloody quick! |

I had a tussle with a Toyota Verso with the same engine a couple of years ago, I was in my Golf R32 and couldn't shake it, they are nippy.

Only mapped to gain as much HP as you quote if it has forced induction. Otherwise a re-map will gain sweet FA on that. Still cant imagine it being that light, or that quick. Surely a re-mapped 320d is a far more ''Suprising Q-Car''

Guessing it's a turbo diesel, and I'm sorry but people have a perception of BMW's as sporty/quick cars, so a quick 320d wouldn't surprise many. Being in something like an R32 and having your arse kicked by a taxi lookalike would be |

I also wouldnt have believed a 335d would be quicker than a E46 M3 untill i drove one. but yeah, seeing that thing do a R32 would be funny.

It wasn't a non-Avensis, it was a Verso, which is a fair bit smaller and lighter and it didn't "kick my arse" but I couldn't shake it off

Can't see how an Avensis/Verso 2.2D 180bhp could 'do' a Golf R32?
If it's the same engine they fit to the Lexus is220D (guessing it is?) then it's a pile of crap. Feel's lifeless and torque-less. Hits 60 in 8.5 secs. Surely an R32 with a 3.2 engine would p!ss all over them. 60 must come up at least 2 secs quicker? |

I might well have been chipped,it was nippy and it does have close to the R32's torque in standard form and is lighter.

That needs the VW badge back on the front to complete it.
Would love to own something like that and have a little fun.
