e92 328i.. the loner of the family?

All we hear is talk about the 335i, nothing about the 328i.. it's really not THAT bad, and who knows there may be a really advanced 328i out there reading this forum and feeling left out!?

i'd also really like to read some reviews of the 328. it's understandable that the 335 would get most of the press, but how about an in-depth 328 review too?

read any 330, or 325 review, it'll be about the same

or read a 335 review and skip over the raving over the engine

If it's any consolation, at my dealership where I ordered my (shhhhhhhhhhh.....) 3-3-5, someone bought the 328 Steptronic test car, so they have no car to use for test drives if someone wants the 328. 335 they have both stick and Steptronic......

I agree, there really isn't anything new about it. The 335 gets all the attention like the attention whore that it is because of that monster engine.

I have a 328i and honestly they should have just named it the 330i cause it feels exactly the same. I get the feeling BMW didn't want to hurt the sedan 06 owners and thats why they named it the 328i. I've test driven the 325i and the 330i and the 325i was kinda sluggish, but the 330i was quicK!The 328i and 330i feel the same. Also, there is a huge difference between the tipronic mode and the automatic mode. THe tiptronic is sick on this car. I cannot believe how much extra torque there is when using the tiptronic opposed to the automatic. I love this car soooo much I really don't think I could love the 335i that much more, plus the 328i sport wheels are nicer, and it has the deadly black bottom grille. Yeh I'll admit the 335i dual exhausts would have looked sweet, but I'd much rather have my fully loaded 328i then a 335i barebones. The car is amazing, and I am not gonna lie, it feels faster than my brothers SL500. This car is just so damn sexy in real life. I was parked next to a e90 325i and I feel bad for those that have that car. It is very nice in the 330i loaded sport except for that rear, but the 325i comparable to the 328i is just in a different class. That horrible plasticy black window trim, and those ugly rusted pipes with the black grill and no xenons. Pshh......looks like a honda to me. Ne ways, those of you who think the 328i is a bad deal, it really isn't. It comes with a lot of stuff standard that the 325i doesnt have, its faster, and its better looking, and it ain't that much more. THe 335i certainly is faster, and a better track car, but I don't go to the track....ever.I'm much happier with the gorgeous leather interior and the M3 CSL style rims. So boo ya all you 335i owners!!!LET THE 328i OWNERS UNITE!

you think the 330i owners will feel bad about the 328.
How about this in Canada they will soon have a 323i with 200hp standard. Which cost 5k less then the 325i (215hp) and about 10k(~30%) less then the 330i (255hp).

I really wish they didn't detune the 328i. In UK/Germany its a e92 330i with same engine but ~260hp. I think this would be much more balance car then the TT.

The 07 323i is a pretty good entry-level BMW if you don't need/want the Xenons, climate control, etc which come on the 328i. Put a sport package on it (which also gets rid of the ugly base wheels) and you're good to go!

I will admit I didn't drive the e92 328i before ordering it but I did drive an e90 325i and 330i and the e92 335i so I thought the e92 328i would be somewhere between the 325i and 335i. I don't think they changed anything in the sport suspension so the 330i sport I drove gave me a good idea on the handling.

bmwbenz, how does the exhaust on the 328i sound like in comparison to the 335i?

I think people should post their 328i pics ... I think it looks pretty sexy with the sport wheels.
