Go for it, you're a long time dead, I'd have one this afternoon if someone would give me £50k for my 335i

PS. If you get it, I won't be talking to you again

Not as much as one of these. If I was in your envious position I'd do this:

Having been on this forum for a few weeks I can confirm that all Audis are rubbish.

Seriously though, i think if your in a position to, why not. I Love the R8. Might choose a 911 myself if putting 60k into a car though. In reality im only jealous.

No, the R8 is much more class. The R8 may not be as fast but it's just a nicer car and will hold onto it's value better, especially WHEN Steve get's it for a smidge under £60k.

Steve - go and haggle it down to £59k-£60k and BUY-IT!

I was talking about road presence. Class V Road presence are two different topics in my book...yes R8 is more classy looking (of course Audi name) but in terms of road presence, GTR IMO.

In for an R8 write-up/review

Steve you won't be disappointed with the R8 it really is a fabulous car.
I had one for the weekend not too long ago and was massivlely impressed.
It looks great drives and handles really well and is not slow either.
If you do decide to go for one try and source one with the Bang & Olufsen audio system it is immense.

Don't you think it's a bit 'butch' for you Stevie?

Even so, if you can, do it - if I was in the same position, I would be very tempted!

There's one of those in the basement at my place - has to be said awesome looking car - black too. Replaced an E46 M3, so not so sure what that says!

But the Audi's a seriously hot bit of kit....

Pity it's not the R8 V10 I had a play in Steve, now down to ONLY 100k

Seriously though, you read my thoughts on the R8 for what it's worth and ok it was the V10, but what a cracking car with impeccable build quality, handling etc, etc.

Imo a car you can easily live with day to day which is no mean feat when you're talking sports car. In truth I'd have another Porka T tomorrow as opposed to the R8 overall but that's the V10..........if was in the market for the V8, I'd go for it.

Steve

I love the R8 - as others have said, if you can, then go for it! I'm not sure that silver is the best colour for the R8 though. Not that I would snub one if offered!

Look forward to an update!

John
