Exclamation 4th time issue with my e92

I have a 2008 335 coupe, I've had the same issue with my car with starting it in the morning. It starts shaking and pushing smoke out through the exhaust. I'm close tothe end of my warranty with 8 thousand miles left and is concerned about the issues happening when my warranty. Taking it into the dealer has not helped because it happens about every 4 to 5 months. I feel that lemoning my car is the only result. If anyone can leave some input if you have lemoned your BMW would be helpful, thanks.

I changed the spark plugs and no more shaking start with my car
I also went to dealer to fix this problem but they kept telling me that
they can't do anything about that. so I spend $300 to replace the spark plugs even I still have the warranty.
this is my last bmw.

Dude...you've been on the forums for a long time now. Anyone with half a brain would know by now (after 458 posts) that in California you cannot lemon a car with 42,000 miles on it -- the time for that is long past. Best advice is: look up the list of independent mechanic shops in the California forum, take it to one of the recommended ones and pay out of pocket for a comprehensive inspection, and get a report from them. Then take your car to the dealer and have them fix everything that's wrong before your warranty ends.

Again, I can't believe you're even talking about lemoning your car after being here for 2 years and with 42K on the clock.

if you havent taken your car to pacific BMW yet, i would recommend you do that. ask for russell wang. he will listen to all your problems, and actually help you out.

end of message.

+1 or Hassan.
I'd really consider extending the warranty if I was you.

lemoning at 42k miles is kinda tough. the car's only 1 year old if it is 2008, you must have done a lot of driving. If you pursue the lemoning, you will end up paying for most of the miles that you put on the car. Since you waited so long you are better off fixing it yourself. If you had issues why would you wait so long...LOL

My cars been idling very rough on cold start with ses engine light. last week the engine light comes on and goes off after restart, but now it just stays on so I am going to the dealer tomorrow. Definitely not normal well see what the dealer say.

when it first happened to me, it was 6 months having the car. if the engine light is on, take it to the dealer and they would try restarting the codes or something. i just went into dealer and they told me fuel pumps for our cars have been a problem.. ive done some research and decided im going to lemon my car. people may think that once you past 18 months or 15k miles it cannot be considered a lemon but thats not true. it is really as long as it is within the warranty.

True but you need to have the problem occur a number of times for the same problem. It needs to be documented. Again, you will be paying for a lot of the miles that you put on the car. What kills me is why would you wait til 42k then realize you want to lemon the car. Your just trying to get a new car....LOL
