How's this deal? (CANADIAN)
So what do you think of this Canadian price, here's the order...
Black Shaphire (Metalic Paint) Sports Pack Premium Pack AutoStep Rear Spoiler (no resididual - adds about $17/month to the payment) $4000 up front (first, last, security, pdi/freight, admin) $949/mnth taxes in, 36mnths. Sound about right? Alex. |

Some questions that need answering: 1. What model is this? 325 or 330? 2. What is the buyout at the end of the lease? After the 36 months, you are into this car for $38,146. MSRP on a 325 with those options is $49,200. MSRP on a 330 with those options is $56,700. With Ontario taxes, that brings it to $56,580 or $65,205. You are therefore into this car, for 3 years of ownership, for either 67% (325) or 59% (330) of the full MSRP + tax price. Feel free to draw your own conclusions. My advice: Get the price of the car in writing. Negotiate on that; some people are starting to get real money off MSRP. Then find the best car loan you can, and go that way. Barring that, negotiate your best price, and then go with BMW's lease rate. Last edited by JonnyCrash; 08-15-2005 at 06:36 PM.. |

Rear spoiler & CF trim can be found at Mississauga BMW (and I'm sure their sister dealership Marenello).
Don't have the paperwork handy on the lease, but I know that it was based on a reduction of $1650 off MSRP. As per norm with a new model entry, the residuals are silly high (61%) but the intrest rate is also high to compensate (6.49%, which is .05% off as a preferred BMW client). With 3rd party agents like cars4u.com, they may offer up a better interest rate, but won't be able to touch the residual, unless you guarantee it - which isn't going to happen (this car isn't going to be worth 61% of the MSRP 36 months from now). Additionally, with 3rd party agents they will bury admin fees within, where your effective interest rate therefore becomes higher than BMW's. However, I did call them and suggested they should get back to me if they can find a way to organize a walk-away lease for less than $925/month taxes in, no down payment. Has anyone been able to do that on a 330i, sports pack, premium pack, A/T, metalic paint. Alex. |
